Today we're wrapping up a 5-day training on Vector Genomics @mrcunitgambia for early career researchers from across #WestAfrica. Funded by @EDCTP, the training equipped participants w/ advanced genomics tools to tackle emerging threats to #malaria interventions & #PublicHealth.

As part of efforts to build capacity in #WestAfrica, we're running a Community Engagement training in 🇳🇬 for @ATBUTHINFO, @FMC_Owo & Phebe Hospital, Liberia. The training seeks to prepare sites for a #LassaFever vaccine trial under the @CEPIvaccines - funded ARC-WA project.

Our #Epidemiology & #Biostatistics course ends on a high note! 31 early- & mid-career researchers from across #WestAfrica have now been equipped with critical research skills, thanks to funding from @GSK. We extend special appreciation to our partners @mrcunitgambia and @WANETAM_WAfrica for their expertise and support to this training programme and our hosts @CCigass @UCAD_Senegal. #ResearchCapacity

As our #Epidemiology & #Biostatistics course in Dakar, #Senegal continues, participants are mastering statistical inference, R/Stata software use, error analysis, life tables and regression techniques - essential skills and tools for robust #health research in #WestAfrica. Our training on #Epidemiology & #Biostatistics in Dakar, #Senegal continues! We wrapped up last week with participants exploring effect measures, intervention studies, cohort & case-control studies with our experts. We were also pleased to have Prof @AA_Ngwa introducing participants to genetic epidemiology. Week two promises more hands-on sessions! Thanks @GSK for supporting us in our drive to advance #WestAfrican research capacity!

We are pleased to commence an intensive introductory course in Epidemiology & Biostatistics training at @CCigass @UCAD_Senegal. Bringing together over 30 participants from across #WestAfrica, the two-week program supported by @GSK will enhance regional health research capabilities.

On day 2 of our introductory course on #Epidemiology and #Biostatistics, we are taking a deep dive into: 1⃣Data and Distributions 2⃣Epidemiological Study Designs, Ecological and Cross-sectional Studies These foundational topics are essential building blocks toward enhancing participants' skills to conduct rigorous, high-quality epidemiological research efforts that will address health challenges in #WestAfrica.
