Our Ancestors left us everything we need — including the right way to wear the Gele. For everyone in the Gele family, this one's for you. And yes, this should settle that conversation. They were wise!!!🔥

@pink_prank Yes!!! These are the things we used to cherish, when clothing meant something in culture. Its similar to how men wear their fila too. To the left - married or committed To the right - unmarried or single To the front - here for enjoyment To the back - laid back or an elder

For the Gele family. Hopefully we have been wearing the gele the right way. We hope this also puts that conversation to end. Our Ancestors were wise!!!

Girl to girl: Don’t put your life on hold for a man. Not your dreams. Not your education. Not your healing. Not your growth. Because the truth is if it ends, you’re the one left picking up the pieces of the life you paused. You miss opportunities waiting for “the right time.” You shrink yourself to fit someone else’s comfort. You delay becoming the woman you’re meant to be. You lose time… and time is something you never get back. A man who truly values you will never ask you to stop growing. He won’t feel threatened by your progress, your independence, or your purpose. Love should add to your life not put it on pause. Choose yourself. Every single time.

We are ugly. We are dirty. We don’t know how to cook. We are uneducated. We are razz. We are olosho. “Yoruba women no dey fine like this.” “Yoruba women have body odor.” It was exhausting seeing all of that, and yet you’d rarely see us talk down on their women. But at some point, we had to start defending ourselves we are human too. Stop talking down on us. These aren’t jokes, and they’re not funny. You can’t keep dishing out what you can’t take that’s where I stand. You can’t keep triggering people and then get mad at their reaction.
it's me,@feis_tea

They almost took Yoruba women life with constant denigration on this app pre-awakening. But now they can’t wait to wear Gele, Aso-oke, Aso-ebi at their wedding. Olofos.

You dump your partner bcos he didn't marry you within 3 years of dating, you enter new relationship and spend 2 years and no marriage, then you rush out to another to spend 1 year. Now add those years to your present age, and you will see it has no manual.

Yes, it’s my desire to meet a person like me once. So I can know what it feels like to be: • chosen • loved deeply • gifted • obsessed in a healthy way • a partner who’s confrontational • someone who will do anything to make the relationship work • someone who would put me on • inconvenience themselves for me • stay up to talk to me • someone that’s only tolerant because they love me • someone who sets boundaries with the opposite gender for me • someone who’s foolish because they are in love • someone selfless • someone that’s easily manipulated because they feel responsible for how people treat them • someone who makes excuses for not being loved properly • someone stupid basically Because this is literally me lmfao.
