Wtf is he smoking? The Wii U certainly not the golden era for Nintendo. I own a Wii u and love that fucking console but I am not that delusion to believe it was the Golden Era.
My guy, Iwata had to cut his fucking salary because of how bad it was during the Wii U era. They had kill off the console and usher in the Switch as soon as possible.
They also had to port over Wii U games to fill up their lineup because no one bought a Wii U. What the hell is up with some of you? First, you guys are saying FF7 Rebirth is a master piece, now you guys are saying the Wii U was the Golden era for Nintendo.

This thread really shows who owned a Wii U and who didn't. Wii U was a golden era for Nintendo fans. It felt like every 6 months you had a first party exclusive, and it was very good. MK8, DK Tropical Freeze, Bayo 2, Splat 1, HD Zeldas, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade X, 3D World, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Woolly World, Captain Toad, Wonderful 101. Home screen filled with miiverse posts and miis. It felt alive. Much more soul than the white or grey screen with game tiles on the Switch. Yeah the Switch is selling well. But I'm gonna talk about the elephant in the room, and it's that the Switch is a portable system, people break them, and they buy more than one Switch in their lifetime.
