@DemocratSenator I respect where you are coming from, but environmental and social costs are hypothetical. Higher taxes, on the other hand, cost people real money. A carbon tax will mean that energy prices will rise, and that will make things more difficult for businesses and families.

I just read an article about a federal carbon tax. My opinion? It’s a bad idea. It will hurt the American economy, especially people and businesses that are already struggling to get by. More taxes will cause businesses to suffer, which will trickle down to consumers.
