@DemolisherT are you secretly a Guru employee too? 🤣
English

@TybsTybsy At least they put the Laughing Cow there! Underrated PAW Patrol member right there.
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor I see what you mean 100%. Although the Youtube algorithm definitely has logic to it, it can hard to decipher at times. PAW Patrol fan animations have it especially hard because they are competing with the actual show in an already saturated market of PAW Patrol content.
English

@DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor Sure, but I'm also considering it just one example of a multitude. Most content creators talk about things they pour effort into often underperforming while their low-effort stuff soars. And even with AI slop, there'll be 500 videos with no views near-identical to the 950k one
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor Oh, sorry. I should clarify that I have seen these things in general and on other animated projects I have worked on, not just on Sparkfrog. Although, I think there was just something about new PAW Patrol fan animations looking like that that made the perform so well at first.
English

@DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor Even in your case, though, are your first videos that got 2M+ views so much better than more recent ones with much lower view counts? I really don't think it's as simple as higher quality = does better in the algorithm (or a matter of time). Sometimes it's just weird and fickle
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor I do believe in making better content equals better return; I have seen that first hand. However, you definitely have me on the outcompeting part, given the output being objectively more. In the PAW Patrol realm, this is especially hard.
English

@DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor I totally get where you're coming from. But I just am not on board with the "You'll outcompete this by just making better content than them" when (a) they can go for the lowest-hanging fruit I'd never touch, and (b) they can do it in a fraction of the time/unlimited tries
English

@DemolisherT @MarshallRocky10 @Flying_Endeavor That's not a reply to you, it's a reply to @MarshallRocky10 , whose post you presumably cannot see because he's shadowbanned. See "This Post is unavailable"?
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor It's a shame, for sure, but there are many things that kids want to see in PAW Patrol content. It's up to better people to make content better than that, while still appealing to the demand.
English

@DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor Do you really not see that these get clicks because small kids are fascinated by thumbnails about characters dying, hurting each other emotionally, getting pregnant, spanked and all the other Elsagate stuff?
That's not a demand we should be meeting, or YouTube should be pushing
English

@TybsTybsy @MarshallRocky10 @Flying_Endeavor When did I praise lewd images? If anything, the fact lewd furry content is getting more likes than genuine PAW Patrol art is revealing of the furry fandom than anything else. I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I praised that if I did, because I don't praise that.
English

@MarshallRocky10 @DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor Why did I bother going to your account to see what this hidden reply was?
You're saying this but at the same time heaping praise on the perverted AI "art" of the pups with dirty outfits and bulges. 😑
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor No. I'm saying this slop is the only thing that currently fills the void. If one came in and made something better (which is not a high bar), while still being what people want, then that person wins. Stop thinking in terms of being trash and think about being better than trash.
English

@DemolisherT @Flying_Endeavor Well you're being very discouraging lol. "What the audience wants to see is this absolute slop. If only your trash were as interesting and engaging as this you'd be getting the audience. The algorithm always pushes what the audience truly wants." 🙄
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor I want to encourage you; what any of us can make can be better than the AI on the visual level 100%, but if we make videos that nobody wants to see, even if they are well made, they will be beaten. Knowing the demand is key to success in the media business.
English

@TybsTybsy @Flying_Endeavor The algorithm pushes want people want to see. Following trends may seem difficult, but it's doable. Bottom line, the AI content fills a demand that nobody else is filling. So what happens when you make something people want to see and is better than the rest of the competition?
English

@Flying_Endeavor @TybsTybsy Keep your heads up, guys. Don't be the type of lot that looks at the AI, becomes miserable and does nothing. Be the type of lot that looks at the AI and wonders how you can make something better than the AI. Don't let the AI discourage you from doing what you love.
English

@DemolisherT @TybsTybsy I do hope so... Took my and my friends 2 Years to make a 2D animation, that it took someone with AI only 2 weeks to copy... >.>
English

@TybsTybsy I have. Sometimes when someone makes something so good in an area that is lacking in good content, they very much blow up. Shorts are especially lucrative.
English

@DemolisherT Don't think I've ever seen something unofficial outdo 950k views in 4 days
