Orthobros bullying a woman to delete her writing, because it upset their fragile male egos is akin to fascist BOOK BURNING! Chasing a young lady off X because of their deranged psychological projection that she was “attacking men” is modern day WITCH HUNTING. A lot of Orthodox women criticise Rachel Wilson’s book Occult Feminism, but no-one is saying to burn it or that she should get off X. I see Orthobros are “endlessly requesting" a response to Katherine’s piece, from their queen bee Rachel. This is a machiavelion attempt to leverage Rachel’s large platform and triangulate her into a fight with a fellow sister in Christ, when that poor young sister, has already been slammed face down in the dirt. This relational aggression from Orthobros is feminised behaviour. These men are like the highschoolers from the movie Mean Girls, but in male drag. There is a false narrative than Katherine was “shaming men for watching porn” when the piece is actually very nuanced. Another lie is “she was sending unsolicited nudes to temp many orthodox men” when actually an ex boyfriend of hers distributed the pictures to others and then published them on X. Behaviour that is not only immoral but UNLAWFUL. I think some of the men on here are not ready for parish life. It’s not ok to abuse a woman like this. We are all sinners and her mistakes should be between her, her priest and God. True Orthodox do not witch hunt. For men struggling with porn addiction, I recommend you look up Sex Addicts Anonymous before approaching our sisters in Christ! I hope and pray that Katherine has the support she needs to get through this vicious and manipulative smear campaign. I also hope she calls the police on the abusive ex who distributed and published her private photos. Can anyone give me a fair and objective rundown of what happened with Katherine? I’ve been busy and not paying much attention. I’m not interested in personally attacking her, but it seems like this might be a case study worth discussing. I kind of saw something bad coming down the pipe for her with her continued online presence, and I tried to politely warn her multiple times in the last several months that she should probably log off for her own good. Seems like a cautionary tale about using social media to supposedly look for a husband while also doing everything possible to sabotage your own efforts. It also seems to me that unmarried adult women with no seemingly strong male influences in their life tend to make terrible decisions about this sort of thing no matter how old they get. I don’t know. I just have a lot of thoughts, but I don’t wanna comment unfairly. I also do not delight whatsoever in people‘s downfall, but sometimes they orchestrate it all on their own.
