Nod-Krai act 1 & 2 spoilerfree review Act 1: Absolute cinema introduction and straight to the point and feels like its own 5 acts of AQ 10/10 Act 2: the same as Act 1, but more diverse in character focus and many cutscenes. 11/10 Both Acts: OMG, so much traveller dialogues!

@LordNooki Hotta Studio isn't broke. They literally advertised NTE on Coachella and in New York's Times Square. Hotta could have easily hired more developers and artists for the game, but decided to spend money on advertisements like those instead.

@Demonking1YT Of course they do and they have to when they have several hundred more devs than NTE's game studio does lol. You are comparing companies that has raked in several hundred millions already to a company that just launched their game.

I would never take NTE cutscenes over Genshin, cause 1st the VFX are ass and aren't edited properly and 2nd the choreography is just poor and tries to be the Solo leveling type of combat. The combat choreography of NTE is either made by a newbie animator or was assisted with AI.

@LordNooki You can't give that excuse in the big 2026 for gacha games. Wuwa, ZZZ and AKE have way better cutscenes, Genshin just evolved its from 2020 onwards.

@Demonking1YT Genshin cutscenes wasn't that awesome either in the beginning. Just saying that it became grand only after some time, after the company had raked in millions and grew their workforce exponentially. It's silly to compare today's genshin with anything new lol

NTE Animators need to learn how to merge the 2D VFX better in their 3D cutscene and obviously character rigging.

Also, the Impact frames spam for the sake of having impact frames ain't good. It literally takes away actual impact of the fight.

@khaenriarchive these tactics to "keep" the throne. Mavuika, Skirk etc. are a statement that they are pivoting and Lunar reactions + the upcoming reactions are the actual results of the competition.

@khaenriarchive The current situation is what I call "the negative result of competitions" Before Genshin was slow in terms of powercreep, because they were the leader of the market, they didn't have to do much to get the profit. Now many new gachas want the cake from genshin, so they had to do

Who remembers when trying to make a team for the abyss was just checking what shields the enemies had and going for teams with at least one character who can break the shield then you could do whatever you wanted instead of "use this exact team made of limited 5 stars or quit"

I think the issue is that newer gacha audience seeks what genshin has built in the past 6 years in a new game in 1.x. I feel like because of that people expect newer gachas to have a story which is already around the endgame of the game.

You know I realised that gacha players don't give the writers of newer gachas the room to start the story lighthearted. Like, I realised that if a gacha game doesn't have serious dark undertones or extensive lore, which explains everything with context, then it's considered ass.
