I've never been more frustrated than trying to speak to @tingFTW support. Getting lied to and laughed at while Ting does nothing to help us even though Ting's own incompetence is what caused all of these issues in the first place is so aggravating. Horrible customer support.

GCP for example is hemorrhaging billions. Will it be around in 3 years? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. But I'm not going to bet my services infrastructure and find out.

Google Thanos'ing projects is funny and all, but the long tail of that meme is the erosion of user trust in their entire product portfolio. I've stopped bothering to adopt their new products, and have slowly migrated away from their established ones (Photos, Gmail).

@drahcir_rahl I also use a local credit union for when I absolutely must go see someone in-person for one reason or another. Extremely rare, but worth having if you go the online bank route.

@drahcir_rahl I use Ally, works well. Has nearly every service a brick and mortar bank would offer, but is all online. Not as trendy as the "neobanks" are, but it's solid and stable. The cards are Mastercard, which I've never had a place not accept.

I have got to get a better bank/credit union. Discover as a bank just sucks. Too many places the damn cards dont work.

Unclear instructions and silly design decisions aside (such as using so many different types of screws), this repair kit looks amazing to allow inexperienced people to reliably repair their own phone. I don't get what the complaint is.
