The manipulation of others put a plug in that but at the end of the day, as someone who has bpd themselves, it's our job to cope with it. It's not fair because we weren't born with it but the reality is that if we want to live a happy life we have to take it into our own hands. No one else can truly help. And you should not trust anyone who wants to "fix" you. In Dex's case, he's a fictional character, and him going fully off the rails is more interesting to the story. But stop babying him. He knows what he's about now.
