@Ayayaisa @Mortdog They wanna keep both iterations because of item economy and flexibility. Shred and sunder has become necessary and void staff takes a valuable bow and tear. If you need shred, you’d be messing up item economy by slamming those specific components. So tank shred/sunder items works

I saw this meme earlier and some of the discourse around it, and different buckets of players and how they feel about those past things like loaded dice and zephyr and stuff like that. I wanted to briefly say that this is actually some of the hardest conversations and parts of our job, making TFT what it is and an everchanging game. Bluevelvet and I often have a lot of discourse on where we land for different buckets of players. Where should we pull back, where are we making the game too flat, have we rounded off too many rough edges, etc. In some cases we remove things not because they are bad or flawed, but because they've been solved and we need to open up design space for new things. If we kept everything in TFT that has been in the game, we'd have an extremely bloated game. But other times we remove stuff because it's been solved and has rough edges causing player pain. But in doing that, sometimes we round things out possibly a bit much. Artifacts for example are something we discuss a lot recently. Have we made them too dull/generic? For some players, them not being warping is a good thing. For others, not having the sharp ways to spike and break the game in unique ways leaves the game feeling more flat. It's a tough line. I certainly won't say we've got it perfect, and frankly it's also an ever evolving situation. Players needs today are different than a year ago, three years ago, or seven years ago. But that's also what makes working on TFT so fun. Keeping up with all types of players and their needs. I hope you know though, that no matter what side you land on here, there are folks on the team that feel the same way. For every dev on the team happy to see something like Zephyr gone, there's another on the team who laments us taking it away. And we're listening to all perspectives here and trying to find the right balance. But keep us honest and keep telling us how we're doing. It's like that loading tip says; "We make TFT better based on your feedback". Anyway, just a thought as I was reading the discourse. Have a good rest of your day :)
