You cannot have a relationship or a conversation with an LLM. It's not a person. A robot isn't a "teacher". We will start to sort people who want to live in reality & those who prefer the simulacra. So much of the world is already fake. Be a realist and humanist!

One of the Sisters here at the retreat house said, I read you on Ignatian Spirituality! At first I thought it wasn't you because you don't look like your picture. The picture on the left is the one IS uses and the one on the right was me today. I know I've aged BUT...

4th funeral in as many months for my family. We haven’t known the people very well but we’re still so impacted by their presence in our lives. Going to funerals are important.

On #PiDay, get to know some #Jesuit mathematicians: Christopher Clavius (1538-1612), German #Jesuit, scientist and mathematician. He was the main reformer of what has become known as the Gregorian calendar. ow.ly/VNHc50YtZuA

@LaKusch You're not alone! I think it's helpful to have the men's or women's group host a daytime one for the elderly, and then clergy host an evening one. Also, given interest in it seems to have fallen off over the years, maybe a refresher/"how to" before Lent?

Stations of the Cross rant… What’s the perfect time for a parish to host this? We’ve moved it around & never get more than 20 folks. Early evening cuts out working people & late evening cuts out elderly who don’t want to come out after dark. Can’t do Fridays, & every other…

@LaKusch There are certainly timing issues. But younger generations in many cases have never been exposed to the Stations to know what they are or how to participate. That's why I like to pray the Stations with my junior-highers in faith formation.

…day is in competition with faith formation, sports, & other activities. We offer soup suppers afterwards for some of them & that doesn’t bring extra folks either. Is it all about timing? Do younger generations not participate in this or know what it is? What’s the key?!

@arealmofwonder I'm torn on the choice. I already knew "metanoia," but do I go with the elegance of A or the humor of D? Maybe D, because I think many will feel like yawny-boxes (not the same meaning) after the clock change this weekend!😄
