My parents came to this country to escape authoritarianism, so you can bet when I see Trump taking away our rights, I’m one fired up mom. Now that every vote has been counted I want to thank all the other candidates, their staff and supporters for their hard work and dedication to this state. My opponent is spreading lies about me to distract from one very important thing: namely what happens if he leaves his seat in the legislature. These are Nebraska Democrats urging him to stay in his seat — because all of us fought so hard for so long to protect the Blue Dot against every MAGA attempt to eliminate it. With the White House and Supreme Court attacking voting and reproductive rights in our country, we need to be able to hold the line at the federal and state level in order to protect Nebraska families.
