Why is the Los Angeles County Sheriff taking three to five months to carry out an eviction after receiving a lawful court order? The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is allowing the Sheriff’s Department to remain understaffed, with no plan in sight to resolve the problem. Yet the County has funds to hire attorneys to represent tenants, while landlords are losing thousands of dollars in unpaid rent.
