This doesn't mean you must be a scammer or swindler. Just means you must be able to appeal to people's egos, self-interests, and motivations to make things happen for you. Family. Friends. Women. Employers. Co-workers. Business partners. It's all the same really.

The reason most people don't get what they want out of life is that they are simply just terrible at being cunning. Can't entice, hook or lure anyone into their schemes for shit.

@lieve_randomly Yes through virtuous policies. Their "claim" exist through legislative frameworks, and only exist insofar as they're eforceable by the presiding government. These are privileges. Not many nations/societies can afford those programs.

@DenverReprisal They can lay an enforceable claim if their governing system recognizes it through law, policy, family duty and what nots.

If you can't fight for it, you don't deserve it. Simple as that. I've done cruel things to get my shit. I'll do more if that's what it takes to step up to the next level of my career.

@lieve_randomly No. The mistake you're making in your assertion is drawing parallels between virtuous ideals and that which people actively work towards to acquire/achieve. The child, the sick, and the poor don't "deserve" the thing. it's a privilege they're afforded. They have no claim over it.

No, its not entitlement. A child deserves safety. A sick person deserves care. A poor person deserves dignity It seems like you're confusing power with "deserving" History is full of people who took things by force they never deserved, and people who lost things they absolutely did deserve because they were outnumbered, weaker, betrayed, or simply unlucky. By this logic: victims of injustice "deserved" their suffering because they couldn't resist hard enough, exploited workers deserve exploitation if they can't revolt.

@lieve_randomly You're describing a classical case of entitlement there. If they're not in a position to fight, then why would they have a legitimate claim over the thing? To be deserving, they ought to engage in a continuous and relentless battle of working toward the thing they want.

@DenverReprisal Quite tricky statement, "if you can't fight for it then you don't deserve it" hmmm. This line sounds tough and empowering on the surface, but it falls apart once you apply it broadly. Not everyone who deserves something is in a position to fight for it.

The greats possess a level of selfishness toward their ambition and goals that ordinary people cannot fathom. They want what they want, and that's that. Can't compete.

The reason most people are not good liars is simple, they don't speak with absolute conviction. Conviction is what separates terrible liars from those who are smooth with it. Speak well, and they will eat it all up.
