@bewgalew @WomanDefiner Exactly. “You don’t understand how the VA rating system works.” Yes, we do, and we are saying it needs to be reformed. Guys are going in with prior injuries and claiming they got them while in the military. Guys are claiming anxiety, IBS, PTSD.

There is an odd number of vets defending blatant fraud in the VA and that makes me think they also are committing blatant fraud. Why would you want people taking money that could go to people who need it even more?

@WomanDefiner They are. Every single veteran I know is getting disability. Three of them have 100% and only one was in infantry. Two of them exercise, light weights, roller skate, and have handicap placards. It’s one of the biggest forms of swindling in our country.

@DeportEveryone @EODHappyCaptain I was a 98G during my time and wound up with asthma. My buddy @RaltsAuthor was in ordnance and got his lungs fucked up working with CBRN weapons. In your opinion, since we were in non-combat MOS, we don't deserve anything.

We’ve reached a point where so few people know a veteran or active service member that that there is zero desire to understand what real sacrifice looks like. Everytime a financial podcast drops with a veteran on it, people rush to scream “fraud.” But, according to the VA Office of the Inspector General, the fraud rate with disability claims is less than 1%. There are a multitude of conditions that are not physically visible: Traumatic Brain Injury, burn pit exposure, PTSD, gastrointestinal issues, etc that veterans deal with every day. America just came out of the longest war in our history. Medical testing has gotten better. Documentation of medical issues has gotten better. You can’t ask America’s sons and daughters to go to war, and then turn your back on them when it’s time to take care of them.

@erichhartmann If the VA was a private organization, this might make sense. But we as taxpayers are funding it so we have every right to care. But I also have zero faith anything will be done about it. No politician wants to be seen as going after the veterans.

If you didn’t serve, I don’t think your opinion matters about VA disability. The general public don’t understand how the system operates. Of course there’s fraud, unfortunately. However, maybe we can all look away from the rage bait and do even a modicum of research before we speak on matters we know nothing about as civilians ✨🫶🏻

@GeorgeMinde2 @EODHappyCaptain They can rate it that way then, but they need to reform it like they reformed the 20 year retirement. Those guys you mentioned were in a combat zone, so that should count more than these guys sitting on bases.

@DeportEveryone @EODHappyCaptain Plenty of ‘non-combat MOS’s’ spent a lot of time outside the wire in AFG, and I’m sure Iraq. Not to mention rockets, etc. Understand frustration at fraud, but that’s not the way to cut it.

@WomanDefiner Many such cases. I have a friend who was 75th that has hearing loss, and concussions from using the Carl Gustav repeatedly in combat. Can’t get 100%. It seems to depend on the doctor you get, but some of those POGs try over and over until they get it.

To those who have served in combat in the military, please know the complaints you are seeing about these clips are not aimed at you. Most American-loving people in this country would have no issue with you being taken care of for life for that sacrifice. The frustration is with the people who are clearly taking advantage of a broken system.

@LVK0ZY @NnPnemck Ridiculous reason. Most people are not attending SFAS. And even if they do get a torn meniscus or a herniated disc on a run they shouldn’t be able to pair that with “anxiety” and “IBS” to hit 100% taxpayer payments for life after sitting on a base for four years.

@just_so_over_it @NnPnemck Yes you can. You visit doctors until you get the rating you want. People do this after they get out. I’ve seen it with two of my friends, and they chat about it openly on Facebook with their other friends trying to hit 100%.

@DeportEveryone @NnPnemck You can’t just “say” something and get 100%. You’d have to be rated for multiple issues to reach 100%. You have to have documented proof and multiple medical professionals have to confirm the ailments. I don’t know anyone that has 100% without countless injuries/ surgeries

@gwar500044044 @NnPnemck Because I have two friends and an acquaintance getting 100% and nothing happened to them and the told me how they got to 100%. My two friends I know very well; one just built a home gym and got a handicap placard. He’s fine.

But the average American doesn’t care about someone that works a normal job in the military, and they also don’t understand that POGs are claiming ridiculous things to raise their rating.

@just_so_over_it @DeportEveryone @NnPnemck The C&P process is so complicated it’s pretty hard to scam the system. They got a rater who is just a soft rater. It happens and sucks for combat vets like me who have 28 months in combat as a line medic with TBI and PTSD can’t get close to 100%. I’m not mad about it, sucks.

@DeportEveryone @NnPnemck The Va compensates you for any injury or condition that got worse during service, so if his anxiety got worse during those two years then he’s not commiting fraud. He litrally did nothing wrong if the VA allows it, seems like people like you are just jealous . Go serve then
