@DepravedSlasher @Khatspergers Dark Souls is way harder and people love that game, it's not a game that coddles like most out there these days, get over it or play something else.

After wasting 20 minutes slamming his head into a boss with nothing but starter gear, Phil concludes that Crimson Desert is not a good game and rage quits.

If I have one like...petty but annoying complaint about Crimson Desert, it is absolutely that I can't put my PS into sleep mode and pick up where I left off. If you put it in sleep mode, next time you log on you'll be on the title screen.

@JParker317 Im actually enjoying it for the most part. Story is mostly mid as hell, and the controls are wonky. But i dunno how the controls coulda been any better with how much they tried to put into it.

the load times during boss fights in Crimson Desert if you die are too damn high. I'm trying to learn this boss's patterns but the almost minute long load times make it rough.

@DepravedSlasher @Khatspergers A True dark souls player mindset👍 never give up until you kill the bitch. I played elden ring day one with Radan pre-nerf. I died like 144 times and 3 days behind it. And i won at end after i memorized even the movement of is ass patterns.

@DeadSpace161 @Khatspergers I denied my ocd and am looking for better gear, but every item seems to have the same base score and just reauires upgrading. Which is fine. Chopping trees and mining is...thrilling. But we're getting there. Got more moves. Whoot.

@DepravedSlasher @Khatspergers Khazan had a similar boss and most people considered that a great game. Wukong had a similar boss and most people considered that a great game. As other people have said, this is a side quest. You can come back any time when you are much more powerful. Skill issue.

I can't make this shit up. The game becomes available to play. Immediately click on the game and the PS5 magically needs an update. After it updates, I click the game and the game has an update. I updated the game. Clicked the game again and the game had a SECOND update. wtf guys.

I feel like they should release a strict COD Online game. Multiplayer only, and this would be where all PVP games would be played from now on. Release a new game, 1 year, and then a remaster of an old game the year after. You would buy the games, and the COD Online would register you have access to the maps from that game, and over time, COD Online would have every map ever made in COD as well as new maps, and you could deselect games if you don't want to go into that game's maps.

Hot Take: 'its not for me' should be a rating in gaming reviews. There is no way everyone likes every kind of game. Imagine someone reviewing Soulslike when they are not into it. Imagine some reviewing JRPG when they are not into it. Maybe Crimson Desert will bring a change 🤷

I will say that me personally, I don't like to have to dig for the story. This isn't specific to Souls games, as I'm not a fan of the newer Zelda games either. A lot of people I know do love story telling through exploration. Now I don't mind lore being expanded through book pickups and things like that, but the main narrative should be out in the open and the driving force of a game. At least for me to stay interested. And I know not all games are for me, and I don't get mad about it.

Why are people saying Elden Ring doesn't have a good story or all Soulslike games don't have a story? You know stories are not just told through cut scenes, right?

This is why review embargos seem to get later and later lmao.
