Year 12 Geography students went to Rosliston Centre in April and undertook water and carbon fieldwork activities and worked on analysis, practicing some essential exam skills. They also saw some day-old goslings - how cute!

Another exciting day at DCS today with BBC East Midlands Today crew coming back to visit us again, this time to interview Headteacher Jenny Brown and a few students on their views on the growing issue of young people vaping and the government's recent ban of disposable vapes.
We had a thrilling end to the week on Friday as Mrs Young had her head shaved in front of all of Year 10 as part of her bold pledge for hitting the £1500 fundraising target! A truly inspiring show of Fellowship for a very important cause!

Students from Derby Cathedral Choir performed at the Macmillan Unit at Royal Derby Hospital today, and two students showed great confidence by performing solos including Jingle Bell Rock and Merry Christmas Everyone! And they got to see the reindeer and got a present from Santa!
