Rebuilding the homes so many individuals and families have lost is huge step for the civilians of Syria. Everyone deserves a home where they can feel feel safe, warm and sheltered.

This mosque in Liverpool is an inspiration.
We have far more in common than that which divides us. Community solidarity, always.

We opened the doors of the mosque a week after protesters came outside, and we invited them to come and talk with us. The event went amazingly well, some of those who protested were here, in addition to many other curios members of our society. We were asked tough questions about women's rights, the Prophet's ﷺ wives, and sharia law amongst many other topics and we gave honest answers. We made many new friends and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Got a new MP? We need to make it loud and clear: refugees are welcome here.
New MPs are finding their areas of focus - it's up to us to convince them refugee rights should be one of them.
Welcome them to the job with our template letters & top tips🤝

What an unbelievable week it has been! An incredible number of us around the world have come together over the last week to collectively reflect on what home means to us & celebrate our home. 🌍
The ripples of our care, solidarity and simple acts will continue beyond this week. ✨
As the festival draws to a close, let’s galvanise all the energy, connections and intention we have generated and continue to practice our solidarity and make our home a more welcoming, safe and sustainable place for all.
What’s next?
1. Refugee Week continues! 🎉 This week Refugee Week will be at @glastonbury and we know a few Refugee Week events have been scheduled for July. Tag us and we will continue to share!
2. Join the Movement! 🧡 Visit our Simple Acts page to see all the organisations & campaigns you can take part in, and support the national partners behind Refugee Week.
3. Reflections! ✍️ We’d love to hear all your thoughts & reflections on this year’s Refugee Week to help us put together this years evaluation: forms.gle/B8vAhgX6TRigGR…!
Finally, please stay in touch & sign up to the Refugee Week newsletter – you’ll be part of the Refugee Week community year round, and we’ll share call outs, opportunities & updates from RW and wider network 😊
