Lovely break from party politics today to watch England hero, Millie Bright OBE, be appointed Honorary Freewoman of Derbyshire. This is the highest honour the Council is able to bestow in recognition of Millie's eminent achievements & services to Derbyshire on and off the pitch.

First day in my new job! Thank you so much for all the messages of congratulations. It will take a bit of time to get my office, emails, team set up. So please do bear with us. I’m really looking forward to getting on with the job and speaking up for High Peak in Parliament.

My first week as Derbyshire's PCC has been an extremely busy time in the office. From briefings & updates to a constructive meeting with Chief Constable Rachel Swann. We discussed the key issues facing our residents & how we best deliver for Derbyshire with the resources we have.
