Milky sunshine in Monmouth and 16°C.

High level Cirrus clouds spreading westwards across the UK today are making the sunshine hazy.

Temperatures dropped to -2°C in Powys last night. Rising to 16°C in places this afternoon. Staying dry and settled over the weekend into the start of next week thanks to high pressure.

Satellite shows high level Cirrus clouds spreading south through Wales this afternoon. Not quite as warm as it was yesterday but still well above average for March.

It's the warmest day of the year so far! Already 19C in Porthmadog and Aberystwyth. Should reach 20 in the next couple of hours with more heating from the sun and light winds from the east or northeast.

And as if by magic, it's now 20°C in places. Warmest day of the year so far in Wales and the UK! March record in Wales is 24°C in 1965! Turning chilly tonight with a ground frost and fog in places by dawn. Not quite so warm tomorrow afternoon but still well above average.

Much nicer weather to come this week with high pressure on the way! Some lovely sunshine on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Chilly nights with a few mist/fog patches but warmer days. 18 or 19C in places on Wednesday afternoon with lighter winds. Cooler & cloudier over the weekend.

Cloudy and breezy in Haverfordwest this afternoon and 12°C. Dry, sunny & warmer tomorrow with lighter winds. Aberystwyth could reach 20°C tomorrow afternoon - the warmest day of the year so far! Clear sky and chilly tomorrow night with a ground frost in places by dawn Thursday!

Most of Wales now sunny but cloudier in Pembrokeshire. Strong, gusty winds in the far west and northwest will ease this evening and overnight Tomorrow morning mist/fog patches will clear leaving a fine, sunny & warmer day. 19 or 20C possible in Porthmadog with much lighter winds.
