@Lina_rays1ya Let response with a question back. If Obama successfully stopped Iran from developing uranium and working on nuclear weapons then how come the US had to bomb Iran roughly last spring and now again this year? So did Obama truly do anything?

Just because you post something on the internet, does not make it true. Please provide information on this Poll? Fact only - how many people polled, age groups, sex, rural vs city and political party affiliation. Because I know ZERO people that have actually took part in any of these type of polls.

@EricLDaugh As a person that lives in Texas, I happy to see us selling oil to the world BUT! And this is a BIG BUT, if we can afford to sell our oil to world, why are we not using it here at home to drive the cost of fuel down - right here in the USA!!

Enphase/SPAN Owners – would you like to have your Enphase Batteries connected to your SPAN panel to do prioritized circuit load shedding by battery level without a complicated interface?
Imagine a simple interface that would prioritize circuit load shedding by the battery level, at any percentage the homeowner wanted utilizing a SPAN Panel and not a complicated Relay network?
I understand it is unusual for a customer to want to discuss design improvements with a company BUT I am a electrical engineer with 30+ years’ experience working as a Senior Architect for Lockheed Martin and a Enphase /Span owner. I have a concept for this interface that I would like to discus with SPAN to do just this.
So if you would like your panels connected to your Enphase Batteries for prioritized load shedding based on battery life - HELP ME get in contact with the SPAN team. This is a WIN for SPAN and Enphase home owners....

I purchased Span panel to interface with my Enphase Solar/Battery System to do load shedding based on battery life but discovered after the install it did not.
The design is:
1. Capable of interfacing with popular batteries. Enphase, Franklen, Solar Edge.
2. Doesn't require SPAN login in to Battery to do load shedding by percentage of battery.
3. Short development schedule. 10 months using off the shelf equipment.
4. Low Risk – Simplified design using existing technology.
5. Easily implemented in panels without major modification,
6. Low development cost
7. Simple design reduced issues for the customer.

Enphase Battery / SPAN Users/Owners – how would you like to have your Enphase Batteries connected to your SPAN panel, any SPAN panel with a simple interface to do prioritized circuit load sheading by battery level without a complicated interface??
I KNOW I WOULD LOVE to have this functionality. Imagine a simple interface that would prioritize circuit load sheading by the battery level. At time zero x circuits go off and then at 75% additional circuits shut off and repeat for 50% or 25%. Or imagine having it can be done by any battery percentage that the homeowner wanted? Without a complex interface….
I am a senior electrical engineer with 30+ years’ experience and a Enphase battery / Span owner. I have developed a concept for just this interface BUT I am unable to get anyone at SPAN to discuss it. I would love to talk to a person - engineer / management about just this Enphase Battery interface that would prioritize circuit load sheading by battery level concept that I have. I have tried to reach out to SPAN in multiple ways – and have failed to actually talk to a real person.
I know it is very unusual for a customer to discuss technical design improvements with a company but I never thought it would be this hard to talk to a company and to help improve their product. The approach that I would like to discuss would not need any fancy interfaces or even to know battery current flow but it would still be able to do load shedding based on batter percentage of life.
Let me start by saying, I am a Senior Reprogramming Labs Architect for the F35 program at Lockheed Martin Aero located in Fort Worth Tx with 30+ years and starting my own engineering company to work AI power systems.
I purchased the Span panel to interface with my Enphase Solar/Battery System to do load shedding based on battery life. I currently have a relay system for load shedding, and I wanted to move to a cleaner approach. So, I did research and contacted Span. I was told that Span panels would do what I wanted. When the system was installed, I found out AFTER the Span 40 was installed that it would not interface with my Enphase system. I felt this was very dishonest to have a customer spend roughly $9K and did not get what was needed.
Because Span 40 did not interface with Enphase, I did research on how Span 38 was interfacing with Enphase system, and I realized that there is another approach that could be used to interface the Span 40 or ANY Span panel to a Enphase battery system.
I then reached out to engage Span engineering team on this alternative approach. After many emails and messaging I was finally able to reach Vibhor Kalley and Joey Degges. They contacted me through email to set up a time to discuss this alternative approach. After 2 email exchanges they Ghosted me and never replied to another email. I would be happy to provide you a email chain where I have reached out to them 12 times with no reply.
Moving forward – I would still like to discuss with someone on SPAN engineering team an alternative approach for backup battery interface.
The design that I would like to discuss is:
1. Common Interface and software. There would not be a version for Enphase, Franklen Battery or Solar Edge Batteries. 1 common interface and software for all batteries will reduce cost.
2. Capable of interfacing with current popular batteries. Enphase, Franklen Battery or Solar Edge.
3. Would not require SPAN software to login to Battery systems or complex interface to battery software but would STILL let you do load shedding by percentage of battery life.
4. Short development schedule. This concept should be able to be developed and put on the market in 10 months. Most of the technology is off the shelf. 1 week with your teams I can develop the entire design concept. Not months and not months of development for each individual battery manufacture.
5. Low Risk – Simplified design using existing technology is very low risk.
6. Can be easily implemented in ALL Span panels without major modification. And would not require additional boxes attached to the customer home for interfacing with the battery systems.
7. Low development cost – this is a simplified approach using materials and components that are already on the market.
8. Simple design reduced issues for the customer. Customers have back up batteries for emergencies. They want the interfaces just to WORK and not worry about complex communications issues.
I am even willing to travel to your facility, at your expense and if given one week working with your Engineering teams (Mechanical, Electrical and Software), I could develop a solid design concept and a protype in the field in 3 to 4 months. The Prototype could be installed at my home and I could work with your team to address all software issues.

@LibertyNut1 No, it is time for these people to learn they are not above the law. There is no way that these people go from a few thousand in a bank to millions in a few years. When does the people demand or better yet force law enforcement to do their job....
