what does it mean when “competitors” start copying not only your offer…but aping your exact copy, your branding, your colors?
should i be flattered? 😂
wouldn’t be surprised to see half of them grow a weird mustache and get their necks tattooed soon.
@marcgoone I like this idea. My wife whispered sweet nothings to me yesterday during an online sesh. I can only imagine how much more I'd win if it was you instead. You free tomorrow night?
unless i'm sitting behind you at the table whispering what to do, i can't promise i can make you better at poker.
what i can say is this:
in 2016, i moved to la with less than 10k. i made my first million playing live poker in public rooms in just a few years. no private games. no shortcuts. just volume.
and when i finally got there… i felt nothing.
unless i wanted to play private games (and get robbed, cheated, or worse) or switch to tournaments (i'd rather stick a catheter in my peehole), there was no next level to climb. no new game to beat. just burnout.
so i started hungry horse poker with my friend gethen. not to scale a business, but because i wanted poker to feel like a challenge again.
and that’s what bootcamp became for other players too. not a shortcut. a reset button.
patrick was already solid when he joined. a 4bb/hr winner in la games. after bootcamp, he didn’t just fix leaks... he rebuilt his entire thought process. the next year, he earned 10.5bb/hr. same rooms. better decisions.
sarah wasn’t sure if the system would work for her. she wasn’t winning much. and live poker can be brutal for women. after bootcamp, she learned how to weaponize how people saw her. value bet, bluff, bluff catch... confidently, without second-guessing. she went from $10/hr to $50/hr.
these aren’t outliers. of the 200+ players who’ve gone through our programs, average win rate has gone up 58 percent. for players who stay on path 6 months or more, that number jumps to 89 percent.
that doesn’t mean it’ll happen for you. this isn’t magic. we can’t climb the ladder for you. but we can hand you the tools, and a process that holds up under pressure.
if you’re a serious player who’s stuck
winning but not confident
good but not great
grinding but drifting
this might be the thing that changes that.
only 12 seats a month because we actually want to impact results. this isn't for the masses.
sign up before we're full for the summer. hopefully i'll see you there.
we spent 2 years coming up with an extensive interview process to vet poker players applying to our stable when one single question can determine poker skill in 15 seconds:
how many straight draws can you name on j72?
@rampagepoker it doesn’t make any sense to me. i understand it’s diff water from where u poop, but doesn’t poop water from ur butt splash down on the bidet?

considering pulling back on short form hands content because the audience who watches them are not our target audience (to put it politely)
would you watch short useful takeaways from our long form videos, or should we just move away from shorts completely?
@marcgoone As a pro why would you ever piss off the dead money? You want to stack them and make sure they are having a good time so they keep coming back.
yesterdays adventures at low stakes: old friendly rec calls a nit pros bet on river. nit pro says “you’re good”. rec waits for him to reveal cards. pro finally shows the nuts for slow roll, rec gets in his face and shoves him
