Low-Dose Oral Minoxidil and Hypertrichosis In a study of 105 patients, low-dose oral minoxidil commonly caused mild hypertrichosis, usually within the first 3 months. Sideburns and temples were the most affected areas, while only 4% of patients stopped treatment because of it. Botulinum Toxin A for Nail Psoriasis In a 24-week randomized controlled trial, a single intralesional botulinum toxin A injection led to a ~40% reduction in nail psoriasis severity, with continued improvement through 6 months. Botulinum toxin A was particularly effective for nail bed lesions and showed sustained benefit with no serious adverse effects. Can biologics differ in long-term efficacy for hidradenitis suppurativa? In a recent MAIC analysis of moderate-to-severe HS, bimekizumab demonstrated higher long-term clinical response rates and greater flare reduction at Weeks 48–52 compared with secukinumab and adalimumab. Rethinking Refractory Warts: Is There a Role for Saturated Saline? Refractory plantar warts remain a therapeutic challenge, often requiring painful and destructive interventions. In this open-label, single-arm trial, daily saturated saline immersion demonstrated high lesion- and patient-level clearance, with no recurrence observed at 6 months.
