Sorry for the lack of updates recently, been extremely busy with my clinical rotations. The cats are all doing good, the trap/neuter/release we did seemed to be successful as there were no kittens this spring. Only cat issue is a re-emergence of ear mites in some of the cats.

Here are pictures of the second intake of cats when we picked them up from the vet. Some of the cats had various other medical problems but thanks to the extra money we raised, we were able to treat most of these issues while they were at the vet for the neutering/shots.

Thanks to all the generous contributions, here are pictures of some of the 1st set of cats we were able to take to the vet last week. They are now neutered and have all the required shots. Some of them also had various medical issues that were dealt with during the appointments.

Getting alot colder here, so got a bigger haul of food then usual just to make sure we don't run out while there is a big storm or anything.

SOS will be able to help us out on Dec 29-30th with collecting and transporting the semi-feral cats to and from the vet. They estimate it will be ~$2.5k, I am hoping I will have enough to cover that. I will try to do some fundraise streams if anyone would like to contribute.

Meeting with the great people at SOS prairie rescue this week. They are going to see if they can help us with getting some of the more feral cats to the vet. Unfortunately, they do not have the space to home any of the cats right now, but that may change in the future.

Last Thursday it was finally time for us to put Patches to sleep. She will be greatly missed, but I believe we made the right choice. Thank you for all the great moments and memories Patches❤️

Found a home for one of the kittens we found outside. 1st pic is when we first found her, notice the black in the ears from ear mites and crusty eyes from infection to how she looks in the 2nd pic after medication. Big thanks to the amazing lady in the 3rd pic who gave her a home

Quick update on the cats. Patches still seems to be doing well, all things considered. We also found some kittens outside, so there is at least one or more females that need to be found and neutered. Now just need to get the kittens vaccinated and hopefully find them homes soon.

(3/3) She is currently under palliative care with pain meds at my parents house. The only option in this case is euthanasia before it can spread. So we plan on giving her the best possible care, love, and affection she deserves the next couple weeks before we must lay her to rest

(2/3) We inquired about surgery to remove the tumor, but the vet insists that based on the location of the tumor it would be too dangerous and unlikely the procedure would be a success. Besides the open sore, she does not seem to be under any distress.

(1/3) We noticed that one of the cats we care for named Patches had an open sore on her belly. Thinking it might have been caused by a fight with another cat we took her to the vet. Unfortunately we found out that it was actually due to a tumor that had burst from her stomach.

I'm finally done my clinical hospital rotation, so will have a lot more free time going foreword for posting updates and streaming.

There was an outbreak of ear mites in the outside cats. One of them must have gotten it from somewhere and it just spread to all of them. The vet was able to give us a deal on an entire box, so hoping its enough to treat all of the cats.

Great news. We found a home for one of the females we got neutered. Hoping Lily enjoys her new home!
