Ideally no longer than a page - the discussion and actions are more important than the number crunching.

@Strickomaster As a school-wide initiative, I can’t see a point. Expensive and damaging. I have seen it used at classroom level used effectively. Update the sticker with the latest grade, followed by clear next steps. The competition and sense of achievement can be a great incentive.

@wright_read @NSRiazat @mr_englishteach @Anthony_Teach It takes some courage to stand against generic strategies that are traditionally seen as ‘the solution’ to long-term challenges. Especially as the alternative approach isn’t immediately obvious without considered thought and investment of time.

I've done loads of webinars and in-person CPD sessions over the last few years. And when I ask teachers about "boys' engagement strategies" they've been told to use they always say the same things. Guess what the top 5 responses are...

@missdcox I’m not sure the distinction is entirely helpful unless perhaps to indicate an end-point to learning… which in itself is a premise that we could reject. All assessment leads to another step.

What assessment can only be summative?

@Derry_teach Conference info from School Library Association website - best to actually attend rather than virtual - all those informal chats and shared advice/info over coffee/lunch are invaluable. They will return brimming with ideas and useful information.
