Most traders think they need a 1:5 RR to make serious money Meanwhile I've done $2M+ in payouts with 1:1 and 1:2 trades High RR = low win rate = you can't handle the losing streaks mentally Low RR = high win rate = consistent prop firm payouts It's really that simple

Lucid Live update Still waiting on my accounts to be transitioned When I get them, I'll be risking about $120 per trade until I build a $3,000 buffer. After that, I'll increase risk to 5% until I'm at $20,000 per account.

@andrew_nfx You are referring to 1% risk on account size, not drawdown… correct? You only get $2,000 of drawdown on a $50k account.

If you're unprofitable and struggling with prop firms Here's what actually works: → Aim for 1-2R max per trade → Risk 0.5-1% per trade MAX → Only take your best 2-3 setups per week → Target 3-5% profit for the entire challenge → Stop trading once you hit target The goal isn't to maximise profit The goal is to pass WITHOUT breaching High win rate from low RR trades = smaller drawdowns = easier to manage trailing DD Most of you are aiming for 10-15% returns in phase 1 with 1:3+ RR trades Then you hit one 3-4 trade losing streak and you're done Meanwhile the guy aiming for 1:1.5 with a 65% win rate passes easily because his equity curve barely moves You don't need to prove you're a great trader in the challenge You just need to pass

People think you need some crazy high win rate with 1:1 rr to be profitable No 55% is enough to get rich beyond your wildest dreams
