🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage claims he had no obligation to declare the £5m gift from billionaire Christopher Harborne "Believe you me, we've looked at this from every legal angle, there is no obligation to declare something that is an unconditional, non-political, personal gift"

😳😳😳So just to be clear Nigel Farage says a £5M personal gift from billionaire Christopher Harborne doesn’t need declaring… If that’s true, then the entire concept of political transparency is a joke. Because apparently all it takes to bypass scrutiny is calling money personal instead of political. Funny how ordinary people get audited over pennies, but elites can receive millions with zero obligation. This isn’t about legality anymore it’s about whether the system is designed to protect power, not accountability.

@TonyWard867811 @PolitlcsUK if a jet fuel shortage happened and rationing had to start, would you rather the commercial aircrafts capable of carrying hundreds of people at a time were prioritised or the multi-millionaires in their individual private jets?

🚨 NEW: Zack Polanski has called for the Government to temporarily ban private jet travel amid potential jet fuel shortages "While ordinary people pay the price, the super rich are simply getting in their private jets at will – wasting huge amounts of jet fuel"

My business is only viable if I underpay my workers

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

Serious question: If you’re marching to “protect women and children” in the UK… why no outrage when thousands of women and children are killed in Gaza? What makes one group worth defending and another not?

Tesco could pay every worker an extra £10,000 and still make a profit. British Gas could pay every worker an extra £35,000 and still make a profit. Shell could pay every worker an extra £300,000 and still make a profit. It is the billionaires who are ripping you off.

I can pinpoint the month Britain started to circle the drain as a country June 2016. The Russian funded Brexit con We became more divided. More hateful & more erratic It's crazy that foreign funded Farage is now seen by some to be the saviour of 🇬🇧 when he caused the decline.

@billguy719 @GBNEWS State pension is the biggest welfare expenditure yet it's not handed out 'free of charge'. It's accumulated via years of contributions, but I can only assume there's been too many 'Rachels from accounts' who are totally inept at such financial future forecasts.

@AntheaJayne4 @GBNEWS There is the alternative. Pay back every penny contributed in NI plus interest and let pensioners make their own decisions instead of receiving the measly handout.

@AntheaJayne4 @GBNEWS The state pension is a massive pyramid scheme which will collapse long before I can claim it, so why shouldn't I vote to scrap it now?

@GBNEWS State pension is one of those pots we all pay into via tax/NI contributions throughout our working lives. The fact that there was a lack of foresight/ accountability for persons living longer is not the fault of pensioners. Pay them what they deserve & need affordability wise.

@GBNEWS It's surprising how they complain of pensioners receiving a 4.8% rise when benefits increases were i believe 6.2%. Tony Blair was the start of this countries problems. He needs to wind his neck in.
