Here’s something most developers don’t think about… until it hits their wallet. A few years ago, a developer charged $2k for a project. No AI. No Cursor. No Claude. No Codex. Just raw skill, docs, bugs, sleepless nights, and years of experience. Today… same developer. Same skill. Same project. But now he’s paying for AI subscriptions, token usage, faster workflows, and still carrying all the responsibility when production breaks. So tell me… Should he charge less because AI helps… or more because now he’s paying to stay ahead ?
