A shocking and disgusting discovery. Special thanks to @sekhsoyebali for finding this and informing me. Yesterday, I received a message from him telling me that one of my free templates was being resold on Etsy and a website called Alpha Design Global. This piracy brand is also taking other free templates published on Framer and illegally reselling them for profit. I was able to recognize free templates from @AndreaMontini being stolen and resold as well. I also saw several familiar template designs, but I don’t know who the original creators are. Please help spread awareness among creators. Check whether your free templates are being illegally resold and report them to the platforms — especially Lemon Squeezy and Gumroad — to protect your rights. @julian_kalume @framer This is one of the many problems... What worries me more is that several hundred templates are released per month and the traffic is not increasing. If they continue like this, in a year almost no one will be making the money they used to make until recently.

One thing i wonder with @framer marketplace, Is this a static section, because there's no any algorithm applied on this section of the marketplace, same templates for years, no changes, nothing happening here, if your template ends up here as Free template, you got the Free billboard of the marketplace forever, But this can't be this way, because this section is shown to almost all templates detail page on the marketplace, over 3000 templates and on the bottom these few gets promoted, It could be better if the framer team could apply a sort of algorithm to this to show real related templates not just these few @aandreug, we need a real related templates algorithm on this section, not static templates promotion

What I like about personal projects is that you don’t always have to be serious. Couldn’t help myself and ended up doodling over my own portrait for the Templatoria store about page 😅

@work_ayushUX @framer Some sales come from X as well but it's definitely a very small percentage compared to the marketplace itself. I've generally seen creators do this test and not upload new posts for a month and there's no change in sales.

A question to all @framer creators 👀 Over the last week, posts related to one specific template of mine got a total of 12.4K views. Every single post had the template link attached, yet I didn’t get a single sale from it. My biggest issue is that posting on X mainly attracts other designers. And yes, designers do buy templates too, but the actual target audience that truly needs these templates doesn’t really seem to be on X. So I’m curious, how much have your template sales actually improved from posting on X?
