I rarely praise the Guardian but this is a extraordinary visual investigation of the sheer level of destruction in Gaza: theguardian.com/world/ng-inter… Absolutely crystal clear when you look through it that the objective is to render the place utterly inhabitable, and destroy Palestinian civil society. Places destroyed are homes, mosques, schools, hospitals, cemeteries, historical landmarks, supermarkets, etc. Everything that makes up a community. Complete disconnect from the stated goal of fighting Hamas.

Gaza is half the size of Canberra. Israel's Air Force has boasted dropping 6000 bombs in 6 days on one of the most densely populated areas in the world. Over 2 million people live there. Nearly half of them are children. No atrocity justifies another.

Thought it would be poetic 2 re-purpose our YES 2 Marriage Equality mailbox 4 the Voice referendum. Not only is the answer the same, on 1 level the question feels the same2me, can we see it in our hearts 2 extend our hand 2 help others who do not have the same opps that we enjoy?

Jon makes a good point (he usually does) and I am also withdrawing my entry. There’s too much influence by fossil fuel companies in Australia and too much greenwashing. Not having a category for climate change reporting is a massive failure

The public needs to understand that this summer's brutal heatwave was Brought To You By Big Oil. So we bought billboards in some of the hottest cities in America -- Phoenix, Fresno & Austin -- with exactly that message. #MakePollutersPay #BlameBigOil

I asked the video wizard Colby Richardson to make a book trailer for Doppelganger. He went and made a beautiful and trippy work of art. I’m so grateful. Welcome to The Mirror World…🪞

This red line might as well be from another planet. We are living the last days of Earth and human civilisation as we had come to know them. A tiny bit of ice left in the Arctic is currently keeping temps from rocketing. Once it goes, things will be simply surreal #ClimateCrisis

Defence needs $4.1bn for missiles? ✅ Defence needs $368bn for subs? ✅ Defence needs public housing? ✅ Increase JobSeeker, lift people out of poverty? ❌ Pay rise for care workers? ❌ Building new public housing? ❌ It doesn't make sense to us either.

just incredible that @Dom_Perrottet told a private audience he feels a 'moral obligation' to fund coal mines that can't find investors! …but not that surprising: his gov't has approved 26 coal & gas projects since the paris agreement was signed! #NSWvotes

The Premier secretly told coal companies he feels he has a "moral obligation" to fund coal mines. It's troubling that he's told the public one thing on climate and is telling coal companies another. What has the Premier promised coal companies? theguardian.com/australia-news…
