In Scorching Canyon and Parched Palace from Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast, a mineshaft is accessed through a large sculpture of Donkey Kong's head carved into the canyon. Three additional sculptures of Kong heads can be seen alongside it, though their identities remain a mystery.

All these devastating news about PlayStation and Xbox make me miss SEGA and even Atari at this point being part of the hardware market. Their downfalls were ultimately their own faults but they were also pure gaming companies like Nintendo and wanted to make fun games too.

Nintendo thrives so much out of the big three because they’re a video game company at it’s purest core and focus on fun games. Sony and Microsoft are general tech companies where video games are only PART of the products they make.

@noximation To be fair, it’s totally accurate. The average Nintendo fan couldn’t name 15 F-Zero characters not named Captain Falcon or Samurai Goroh if they had a gun to their head lmao.

Hey SEGA, maybe if you guys stopped having ridiculous expectations for every game you’d release, things would run along more smoothly. You guys ain’t Nintendo, do it at your own pace until you’re close to their levels.

@RogersBase I have my own gripes with Assault such as lacking branching paths and unpolished ground missions but on-foot gameplay isn’t inherently a bad idea for SF if anything it’s great. But it should be more Space Harrier/Sin & Punishment for arcade roots or just go full Ratchet & Clank.

Star Fox Assault is LEAGUES better than Star Fox Zero and it's not even a debate. Orchestrated music, fantastic multiplayer, stunning visuals and a replayable campaign with fun dialogue VS bland visuals, no orchestrated soundtrack and bad controls. This is an objective fact.

I think both colors are fine but they really need to bring back the anime eyelashes instead of that disgusting skin blob shit they do.

I always preferred blue eyelids Sonic for the longest time but now I believe tan eyelids might be better the more I look at them.

Like there’s a fine line between trying to bring things back to form and virtually ERASING any attempt at trying new ideas, stories, characters just to appease oldheads who despise change while ignoring the actual issues the 2000s games had.

I think this 4chan post pretty much sums up the major issue I’ve had with both Sonic The Hedgehog and Star Fox as franchises.
