On this great Feast of Pentecost, we celebrated adults receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was a beautiful reminder that the Holy Spirit continues to call and strengthen disciples in every generation. Please join me in praying for those who received the Sacrament today.

Today we praise God for our new priests, Fathers Lizandro Barba, Karl Finkbeiner, James Musgrave III, and Daniel Whalen. What a profound joy to witness them faithfully answer God’s call to serve His Church. Please join me in praying for them and all men discerning the priesthood.

On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended not upon ornate basilicas or powerful cardinals, but upon ordinary people gathered in faith. Two thousand years later, that same Spirit is still at work among us, calling ordinary believers to become courageous witnesses to Christ.

On Ascension Sunday, we hear that the disciples still wrestled with doubt. And yet, Jesus entrusted them with His mission and a promise: “I am with you always.” Like Jesus’ first followers, may we also grow in faith, disciple others, and trust in His enduring presence among us.

The saints remind us that an encounter with truth can change everything. In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus promises that same Spirit of truth to us. May we be ready to give ourselves over to it, so that one day we too can become the saints we were created to be.

Today I joined faith leaders and advocates at the “Witness to Hope” conference focused on the challenges facing our immigrant brothers and sisters. Our faith reminds us that every person bears the image of God. May we be a Church that accompanies, serves, and defends that dignity.

Congratulations to the graduates of Sacred Heart Major Seminary! Your dedication, perseverance, and faith have brought you to this moment. May the Lord continue to guide your steps as you go forth to serve His Church and His people.

In this weekend’s Gospel, Jesus assures us that we need not be overcome by fear. He does not simply point out the path, but He walks with us, saying, "I am the way and the truth and the life." May we follow Him to the Father with courage and hope.

Today we gathered in gratitude for Fr. Stephen Burr and Fr. Timothy Laboe as they conclude their service at @shmsdetroit. Their dedication to forming future priests, deacons, and lay leaders has left a lasting impact. Please join me in praying for them as they begin a new chapter in parish ministry.

I was encouraged to meet so many dedicated advocates at last night's Respect Life Dinner, hosted by the Knights of Columbus Michigan State Council and Right to Life of Michigan. May we all continue to reflect Christ’s love by defending every human life with compassion and mercy.

Thank you to University of Detroit Mercy for hosting this past weekend's Faith in Action discussion on the prophetic role of the Church in the modern world. It was a gift to engage in thoughtful conversation about how our faith leads us to serve, advocate, and walk with those in need.

On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, let us pray for those discerning priesthood, religious life, and other paths of service. May they have the courage to listen, the freedom to respond, and the trust to follow wherever the Lord leads.

It was a blessing to celebrate Mass today at the @USCCB's Listen, Teach, Send regional formation, a gathering focused on strengthening youth ministry across our communities. The mission of the Church is alive in the hearts of young people and those who walk with them.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of celebrating Mass with those attending the 17th Annual Hispanic Men’s Conference. It was wonderful to see so many men seeking renewal in Christ and embracing their role as spiritual leaders in their homes and communities.

I spent time today with inspiring young leaders at the 6th Annual Strangers No Longer Formation Day for Youth. In a world where many feel unseen or unwelcome, the compassionate witness of these young disciples gives me great hope for the future.

It was a privilege to gather with priests of the @ArchofDet to officially welcome Fr. Kevin Creagh as he prepares to assume the role of rector of @shmsdetroit this July. Please join me in praying for Fr. Creagh, our seminarians, and all those discerning God's call.

Alleluia! Christ is risen! On this glorious Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the victory of our Savior over sin and death. May the joy of the Resurrection fill your hearts and guide your lives in faith, hope, and love.

Good Friday is the only day of the year without Mass worldwide. Today, we enter the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion, receive the Eucharist consecrated yesterday, and give thanks for Christ's redemptive sacrifice.
