Hmm, interesting approach... what is the size of the smallest fragments they can detect?

@CarMFin I’m really sorry you are having a hard time. Here is a picture of our three dogs looking silly

What a better way to celebrate 3 years of Canine Detection Solutions than with a review from someone I really respect in the industry Dr Daniel Jones.

Throwback to last year. This was yet another case were no one was expecting to find knotweed in this specific location and it could have been easily missed while covered by rubble. #japaneseknotweed #construction #constructionsite #invasivespecies

@KendallsCS That would be great. We are actually in the middle of doing research on the dogs capabilities with the first data collection completed
English

@EskandTaySISIPO @SISI_project @taydsfb @EsksBoard @nature_scot I’ve tagged you in some of our past post that show some of our dogs capabilities
English

@DetectionCanine @SISI_project @taydsfb @EsksBoard @nature_scot Very interesting idea this. We're always interested in hearing about methods of detection and control.
English

After several years of treatment, we're now combing sections of river for tiny knotweed regrowth. Very time consuming but important to make sure any last rhizome energy reserves are destroyed. @SISI_project @taydsfb @EsksBoard @nature_scot

Japanese knotweed detection dog survey provides a great addition to human survey especially if you want an extra reassurance even the small pieces of knotweed can be detected. #japaneseknotweed #invasivespecies #property #Construction

@sallyrella Thank you for taking time to explain. It makes total sense they are a problem in New Zeland. They are generally very loved in Europe
English

@DetectionCanine No introduced in the 1880’s to make English settlers feel more at home. They don’t need to hibernate in New Zealand and apart from all our unique lizards and invertebrates we have a lot of ground nest birds that get eggs predated by Hedghogs.
English

Meet baby hedgehog Hektor who was found lost yesterday, we were lucky to have him as our house guest for the night and now he is in professional hands where he will hopefully get really far and will be ready for release.

English

@sallyrella We used to have a lot now they are endangered here and we also have hedgehog detection dogs funny enough. Are they native to new zeland?
English

@DetectionCanine Seems so strange to be rescuing Hedghogs to me as they are a real pest in New Zealand, we even have trained Hedghog detection dogs.
