Grok 4.2 will be about an order of magnitude smarter and faster than Grok 4 when the public beta concludes next month.
Still many bug fixes and improvements landing every day. The public beta gives us more critical feedback to address.

we're already using Grok 4.20 (agents) in our research process, from a research perspective it does feel like we jumped another 9. I'm particularly a fan of the improved sourcing!

GPT-5.2 was released 2 months ago. GPT-5.3-Codex was released 2 days ago and is twice as token efficient for coding. It's clear who turned out to be correct.
