Due to the impending weather, beginning at 6 am on Sun. Feb 22, Nallin Farm Gate will close. Veterans Gate will operate 24 hours per day until the Installation resumes normal operations. Old Farm Gate will continue normal operations.

Ft. Detrick will be on a 2-hour delayed arrival Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026. Non-Emergency employees reporting to the office should plan their commute to arrive no later than 2 hours after the employees’ normal reporting time.

Operational Status For Tues. Jan. 27, 2026 Fort Detrick will OPEN at 10 am on Tues. Jan. 27, 2026. Consult with your agency for final guidance about options for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework. All gates will resume normal operational hours beginning at 6 am.

Installation Status For Monday. Jan. 26, 2026 Fort Detrick is CLOSED on Monday, 26 January 2026. All activities are cancelled and Odom Fitness Center will be closed. Veterans Gate will remain open 24/7, all other gates are closed.

All MWR activities are cancelled on Sunday 25 January 2026. The Odom fitness center will not operate 24/7 and will be locked at 4 pm today. Pet kennel will remain open for scheduled boarding.

Fort Detrick is closed on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Emergency employees are expected to report to their worksites on time unless otherwise directed by their agencies. All Sunday activities are canceled. Veterans gate will remain open 24/7and all other gates are closed.

Normal gate operations will resume once the installation resumes normal operations. Monitor all ALERT! Messages, My Army Post App, official Social Media, and the Fort Detrick website for updates on installation operating conditions.

Due to anticipated severe weather and the ongoing road construction on Amber Drive, Veterans Gate will be the only access control point open at Fort Detrick beginning at 0600 AM on Saturday, 24 January. The gate will operate 24 hours per day until further notice.

Beginning mid-August a barrier replacement project begins at Nallin Farm Gate. We ask all vehicle operators to please pay attention to significant traffic control changes in that area during this time.
