@DeuceFathoms

Some folks think they know me. Especially the ones that actually do. I tend to do what other folks talk about at the bar.

@dromanocpm Chuck Norris is death incarnate now. Death screwed this one up.

Rest in Peace Chuck Norris! Many people know him from Bruce Lee movies and Walker, Texas Ranger… even Total Gym Commercials… not as many people know of his professional kick boxing career. He was a killer in his time fighting against the greats like Bill Wallace aka Super Kick. His influence in my childhood was a weekly thing when I would sleep over at my grandparents and watch Texas Ranger all night with Grandma like many young kids growing up in the 90’s. At least now he’s with Clarence Gilyard in the final act. Absolute legend Chuck Norris was, and his loss is heavy one 🙏

Twain wrote about this as well. All the riverboat captains had lock boxes that were part of the guild to know how to navigate the next river bend left at the local bar. The captains that were members knew what lay ahead, the others had to rely on skill alone. Information crowd sourcing in a very direct way. You either had a key or you did not. Eventually, the guild captains that had the most recent knowledge and coupled with skill, won for a while because their goods arrived on time. We can definitely see the reverse cycle of physicality within trade work which is not a bad thing. While we play with Claude code, the barter system lies in wait for more challenging times of different skills and refactoring. As we have become more "advanced", why is our current architecture soul sucking and temporary when skills of the past inspired and lasted so much longer? I thought about putting some em dashes in here so folks thought AI wrote this and took it more seriously, but it was actually typed, archaic as that is.

This artist plays one of Vivaldi's most difficult pieces on his accordion, a work that is normally performed by a whole orchestra.

Intention. I hear it a lot. "Be intentional." "The intent is what counts." "Have good intentions." But most "good intentions" have fatal outcomes. Let me give you an example: We have a person in our neighborhood. Wants to do a stray cat good. "The poor thing is living outside, no friends, no family. We need to feed her." Starts feeding it daily. It gets fat. Can't jump on trees. Can't run to protect itsself from Coyote's Can't hunt on its own anymore. The cat has been destroyed. All because of... good intention.

@dromanocpm Murdered? Looks like a stingray. Real cutting edge data models don't swim with stingrays, they eat them. RIP Steve Erwin.

@suavecito585 That is certainly an option. You can also respond nonsensically in a pseudo intellectual fashion that has an intelligent undertone with sarcasm sprinkled all over it for flavor.

Yep, I am a grandmother. I don’t understand how that could be anything but a compliment. I raised a good son, that found a good wife, and now he’s a proud husband & father. I genuinely don’t understand why I should be ashamed of the fact I am a grandmother by any stretch of the imagination. My beautiful daughter (in law) is Filipina.(trust me- she’s beautiful but she doesn’t like it when I post pictures of her) The word for grandmother in Tagalong is “Lola” Call me Lola, Honey, Nance, or Badger… I’m embracing it! Thank you, I love you @DangerDevin this video warm my heart ❤️ x.com/DangerDevin/st…

@BrianRoemmele I worked in a produce department at a grocery when I was a teenager and this song came on early, daily when I was often hungover and I still smell melon balls every time I hear it. Cantaloupe and watermelon specifically, neither of which I care for. Sad I cannot enjoy the song.
