I do not argue that the Steelers will be good and competitive this season. I DO argue that they are not a SB contender with Rodgers. I DO argue that it won’t matter if Howard/Allar develop this season when the team drafts a 1st Rd QB in 2027. I DO argue that the Steelers must stop mortgaging future upside at QB for the comfort of an immediate high floor. I DO argue that it would be better to find out this year whether Howard or Allar can hang so you know what to do next April. And finally, I DO state that I will lose my freaking mind in March of 2027 if Mike McCarthy says “we like what we saw behind the scenes with Allar/Howard” and the team proceeds to NOT draft a 1st Rd QB in April.
