@MooMooClover I've the same problem when I mention that I was born in Germany. I do not have a stereotypical German accent, I do have German inflections from time to time but my accent is too scattershot to be put down beyond "they live in north america". Frustrating for sure.

@IndieGameJoe half or even most of the reasons that indies don't do gangbusters, is that people just don't pick them up for one reason or another. concurrent players doesn't mean it didn't hit sales, it just means people who opened the program and kept it open. there are more than those people

Shipping a debut game is a monumental achievement that most people will never understand. We’ve become so obsessed with concurrent player counts that we’ve forgotten to actually respect the work that goes into it.
Making a game this polished on the first try is a massive win.
