Now, back to the grunt work of admin files and trying to keep the research afloat. How can I do so without taking the space to savor what brought me here in the first place? The profound joy of learning about nature's workings...Fieldwork is not only fun but fundamental to us.

PhD students Rishiddh and Vinayak shared their insights into interactions between plants and insects, plants and soil microbes, respectively.

@rochithashree15 and @BPeddiraju2 spoke about the impact of Lantana on savanna understorey. @DeviTejaswini2 and @AlluAthulyaAchu shared their work on seedling dynamics with light and water.

NEW PAPER: Ever wondered why insects fly in all sorts of crazy patterns around lights at night? So did we! We set about recording flying insects to work out what's going on. I'll summarise what we found in this 🧵. Spoiler: We don't think they confuse lights with the moon.

Wrapping up the inaugural Inter IISER Ecology meet at IISER Tirupati! 🌿 Students and faculties from IISERs, CCMB Hyderabad, KREA University, and TIFR Hyderabad rocked it with engaging presentations and discussions. Future plans? Keep this student-driven vibe alive annually!
