Last season I thought Newcastle had 3 top players on Isak, Bruno G and Tonali but the rest of the squad was mid table level. I’ve had so many arguments with Man United fans about how much they overrate Newcastle, Chelsea and Villa squads. Hope they get it now!

I’ve been telling people this for years about Van Dijk, he’s an elite in duels and recovery but when it comes to marking and understanding space he’s bang average. If he played in late 90’s or early 2000’s he would have struggled in the penalty box against two strikers.
