Sheldon Keefe has completed his #NJDevils coaching staff. Ted Donato, who spent the past 22 years as HC at Harvard, has joined Keefe's staff as an assistant. AJ MacLean makes the jump from assistant to Tampa's AHL team to Keefe's NHL coaching staff. Dan Stewart comes on as goalie coach from the St. Louis system. And Leo Luongo joins the organization as Director of Goaltending.

The NHL has announced each team’s Home Opener for the 2026-27 season! The #NJDevils will host the Philadelphia Flyers on October 1st. Additionally, they will play the New York Islanders in their home opener on October 3rd. The rest of the schedule drops at 1:00pm ET tomorrow.

BREAKING: The #NJDevils have signed F Anthony Mantha to a two-year, $4.75 million deal annually, per Elliotte Friedman. Mantha was the top remaining free agent on the board. He scored 33 goals in a career-year last season. NJ got him at a great price tag.

BREAKING: The Utah Mammoth have matched the #NJDevils offer sheet for Barrett Hayton per a team announcement. He will NOT be joining the Devils.

News: The #NJDevils announce they’ve re-signed restricted free agents G Jakub Málek & F Ben Steeves. It’s a two-year deal for Málek, one year for Steeves. Each are two-way contracts. Each player will be a RFA at contract expiration. Topias Vilén is the lone RFA left.

AHL News: The Utica Comets have announced the following: - Re-signings of F Jack Malone, G Jeremy Brodeur - Signings of F Gabe Klassen, D Eamon Powell, G Seth Eisele All AHL contracts. #NJDevils

Lombardi, 23, was acquired from Detroit earlier in the offseason. Over the last two years his 0.90 AHL point-per-game average ranks 40th among 1,036 skaters to play at least 20 games. He was an RFA. #NJDevils

Newest #NJDevils goalie David Rittich is signing a one-year deal worth $1 million according to PuckPedia. In total, the team’s three goaltenders, Jake Allen, Rittich, & Nico Daws, are set to make a combined $3.9 million in 2025-26. Gives them massive flexibility elsewhere.

BREAKING: The #NJDevils are expected to sign G David Rittich according to PuckPedia. Rittich had a 0.894 SV% in 40 games last year but an impressive 14.34 goals saved above expected which ranked 31st among 91 goalies. Devils now have Jake Allen, Rittich, & Nico Daws.
