I've been on carnivore for 10 months and felt I'd hit a plateau a bit, cutting down on weight. I work out 6-7 times a week with 2 hours lifting or 2 hours cardio. Sometimes hour cardio after lifting so 3 hours somedays. The plateau was definitely not due to lack of exercise. I'd say about 90-95% of my meals have been beef. For the last 3 days, I switched to only chicken, and my stomach has literally disappeared lol. Idk if it was too much fat or what but if you're in a similar situation, maybe try a few days of chicken 🤷♂️

@AnnatheBlack Yeah ive thought about doing a fast but I like to workout a lot. Would be hard for me to go without for a few days

@DevinDoane1 Do a five to seven day fast and enter beef back in slowly.
Might work.
Works for me as a reset.

@DevinDoane1 I actually prefer chuck, but something happened with pricing. The cost doubled, more than steak did, & it rarely goes on sale compared to the past.
Brisket is still rather cheap even not on sale. So I was worried it'd be too high fat & make me quesy, but it's been working well.

@DevinDoane1 Just try different ratios of fat/protein calories for a week duration. I did 80/20 for 3 months from 50/50 and I gained weight from a 28 BMI to 32. Not good. Plus all that fat made my stomach queasy until it digested. Back to 50/50. No energy or mental difference experienced.

@XPhrone @DevinDoane1 You don’t know what people are eating. So you don’t know how much fat they’re getting. So saying people don’t need fat is just simplistic and wrong.

@DevinDoane1 Here's my pure, slow cooked brisket lunch. Naturally a very fatty meal, no additional fat is required.
By all means, add additional fats if you like, but people only "need" to add fat in the most fringe of cases.

@jthecarnivore You're fine, if you enjoy go for it. I think some people get too religious with this diet. Enjoying some stuff here or there is more sustainable long term for most people

Okay… serious question 🙋🏼♂️
Since my kidney stone diagnosis on March 24 and Surgery on the 25, I have not had any 🥤 soda caffeinated drinks or soda in general.
It’s just been water.
I do have a soda stream that I used to carbonate water just to give it bubbles.
Would you consider these as legal on the “carnivore” diet.
I respect the opinions here from those living this woe(way of eating).
Looking for positives, negatives, or any other feedback.
