@gmjochum @Joe_Widdup Cattle feeding tractors would work well too. Instant heat and spends a good chunk of the time idling. Even my grain feeding truck would be better suited to electric. I often don't put more than 4 miles on it a day.

@Joe_Widdup I can see use of electric tractors for harvest on an auger that gets used every 20-40minutes for a 5-10min job all day. Can’t see it being used for high hp application in the field.

Napkin math: 1 tanker load of diesel is 445,000 kwh of energy. We only seed and harvest for 84x 12hr days a year, so it's like 480+kW of charging to electrify my average sized farm. That would require a 7-10x increase to the grid. There is minimal future for electric farming.

FYI, opposing the seizure of a territory by force (which is what Pierre tweeted about) is fundamentally a conservative position. And modern conservatives support NATO. It’s very important to listen to people who understand this over whatever surface level BS exists online.

He has gone too far. Trump arbitrarily, without legal authority, imposes tariffs on longstanding allies to compel the annexation of an ally’s sovereign territory. This cannot stand. Europe and the UK should respond with strength and unity by imposing counter tariffs. And all of Denmark’s NATO allies, including Canada, should respond by contributing troops to the joint military exercises in Greenland. The free world cannot abide economic warfare as a tool of territorial aggression. If the response is weakness and disunity, he will exploit it. A year ago he said that he would use “economic force” to “annex Canada.” He is now doing exactly that to annex a neighbouring ally. We should respond with confidence that he is only about to get weaker. The US Supreme Court is very likely to overturn Trump’s emergency tariffs within days or weeks. And Trump is almost certain to lose control of Congress a year from now, effectively making him a lame duck. If we do not act together to respond to this bullying, it will embolden him to go even further.
