Here in India, just think about it 6 months of hard work goes into a crop. Water is drained, soil nutrients are exhausted, and yet the farmer ends up at a loss. Let me break it down: Labour costs around ₹50, cold storage ₹115, empty bags ₹35, seeds ₹50, fertilisers and sprays another ₹30–50 roughly ₹300 per bag in total. And what does the farmer get? Around ₹200 per bag this time as of now That means we, as farmers, are actually paying ₹100 from our own pockets just to avoid dumping the produce selling at a loss. We don’t value what we are consuming not the vegetables, not the water, not the soil that’s slowly being depleted. And the biggest irony? Everything else is becoming expensive, except the food grown by the farmer! ☺️🙏🏻
