like im sorry even if you heavily disagree with vetoes if its within two bns powers to rank a mapset then its really not a stretch to say that three bns can force a review due to quality concerns, this is literally what the qualified section is for, it really isnt that serious

this is the single biggest argument as to why vetoes SHOULD be anonymous, because regardless of if you think bns are abusing their power this level of harassment should be avoided at all costs

the real issue here is that some prominent pp mappers support this level of harassment by blowing vetoes way out of proportion and then either ignore or actively encourage harassment like this

hello there. the bn management website on mappers guild website has exposed vetoer identities through its api despite vetoes were intended to be anonymous. up until ~10 hours ago any user could deanonymize every veto by cross referencing two publicly accessible api endpoints. since the hotfix is now in place, vetoer data is now nulled on api requests. but the cat is already out of the box. thank you for playing

@shitmapper gonna delete the post cuz thinking about it more it definitley came out wrong, in the end i agree with why it was vetoed i just think that the apperance of the veto is a negative impact on the bng as a whole

@shitmapper the veto system is fundamentally useless on a wide scale unless a veto result sets a precedent for the ranking criteria so in the end what matters with these posts is actually the community perception to the posts
