@lishensdick Sylus is my main, and I swear Zayne is my second main, it's just that Xavier likes to come home more often. Even Sylus was hard to level at first.

@Actually_Tina No comparison whatsoever. Stormblood always had great characters rather than the caricatures and stereotypes we were subjected to in DT. You didn't have to like the characters in Stormblood to acknowledge they were well-written.

@Actually_Tina I have no problem with Halmarut, but as far as I'm concerned she suffers as a character for associating with a loser like Calyx. The man needed to be erased and stay gone.

At first glance, the connection between Sylus, dragons, and crows might seem like a bit of a stretch. But when you look at it from a historical perspective, it actually becomes kind of insane how intentional the detail feels. For instance, birds are the only living descendants of dinosaurs. Over millions of years of evolution, those grand, ancient creatures eventually became the birds we see today. It feels like such a cool parallel to Sylus as a character and how resilient he is in the face of adversity, something ancient and powerful continuing to exist in another form. So now whenever I see smiley dino and grumpy crow, I can’t help but smile, thinking about how cool that connection is and how intentional it feels.

sylus’s hyperfixation on everything he couldn’t experience as a dragon understanding melodies, tasting flavors, seeing beauty in patterns n now he treats vinyl records like treasures, becomes a music critic, has his own personal chef, seeks beauty&perfection in everything he owns

Hate that we always have to reiterate that interstellar arena is indeed the same life as main story. We already didn’t know where MC came from. DAR gives us an explanation and people just reject it so I will make a big post about it. Sylus literally confirms it in DAR too. When MC asks him if they managed to escape, his response is “if we hadn’t, then who are you looking at right now?”. If it was a different life, they’d just reincarnate regardless of if they made it out or not but Sylus specifically says the reason they’re here right now is BECAUSE they escaped the arena, meaning it is the same life. MC also asks Sylus in the idol card was he ever scared like when he was in the interstellar arena BEFORE he arrived to N109 zone. Again, SAME LIFE. They likely share the same birthday too and were once the same age because they reincarnated together at the same time after Crimson Spirit but when she was sucked into the Deepspace tunnel it perhaps took her either to a different timeline in the past, stopped her aging or he aged faster in space time prison. Even if they changed the timeline or time traveled, it is still this same life. Even if you are one of the people believing MC died and came back to life between arena and Earth and use that to prove it’s a different MC, your logic is flawed because she also died in the lab and came back to life. So does that mean MC that was experimented on and hunter MC are different? No. She’s just immortal. Her life is bound to Sylus’s. He never died after the arena and is in the same life which means so is she. Either way the age difference was created between them, his STANDARD companion, called Otherwordly visitor description states he was looking for her, his kindred spirit, through vast and endless space to find her and MC refers to herself as an alien in another li’s route. Sylus is MC’s direct confirmation that Dimitri was lying to her about creating her in the lab. Or maybe he was unstable and was convinced what he was saying is true. Even Sylus tells her “do you actually believe what he said?” And I think she was uncertain which is why she asked Sylus if they managed to escape and when he responded the way he did, that was all the reassurance she needed that she indeed came from somewhere else. They both did in fact. His role in DAR was also this. To ground her. Help her differentiate facts from a madman’s delusions. Crimson spirit ends with an image of the nebula and Sylus and MC floating through space and walking into a new life together. If we go back to DAR, MC’s little monologue about origo core floating through space leads into her memories of Sylus and their childhood. They both have an aether core, MC’s core reacts to his core and says it belongs to her.. it has to be the same core but alas. That’s not the topic of this post. It’s really not that complicated. I don’t understand why people keep denying this. Crimson Spirit spells out that Sylus and MC always die together and get born together. The myth description is literally “To death, into life.” Dragon Sylus says when they bound their souls, their lives will be bound together with their deaths. So they simply reincarnated together, one thing lead to another, they ended up in the arena being forced to fight wanderers. They escape together, eventually Deepspace tunnel separates them. She materialises on earth, is caught because the researches sensed weird fluctuations coming from her, she starts getting experimented on, in the meantime Sylus is looking for her through the space and eventually finds her and sets her free. He realises that she’s much younger than him now and also he is still a nobody who is being hunted down meaning it’s dangerous for her to be around him so he makes a deal with Dimitri to ensure she won’t get captured again and he moves on with his life, preparing everything for when she returns to him.

“They want to stay together, they must be really close..” Sylus devs you’re insane for this.. I need arena lore more than anything now.. Babies were close and then got separated by the Deepspace tunnel and I bet she had all the memories of him and was missing him so much up until she died for the first time during the experiments.. 😭

thinking again of the moments i truly fell hard for sylus as a character and for some reason what sticks out to me most is him nervously rechecking his outfit in the mirror during his birthday after being so pleased mc asked him to spend the day with her (1/7)

Finally updated every single marriage representation we got on sylusmc's content It all started with them exchanging vows on a churn in beyond cloudfall, when they merged their souls and created a linkage that is canonically referred as the red string of fate (marriage)
