@DJConscious1 @MsGillyJ You could go beyond that, creating LAMBDA functions for just about any accounting formula and then leveraging Data Arrays for populating entire sheets. It’s pretty powerful.

@MsGillyJ Yes, it’s invaluable but I note the course doesn’t seem to cover SUMPRODUCT function which is a game changer and known as the the hidden gem for Accountants. I never looked back once I realised how versatile it was.

Every day I say this. As a data analyst you HAVE to know Excel. Yeah, there are other tools that can do what you need to, but learning Excel teaches you so much and lays a good foundation for using more complex tools!

@MsGillyJ Microsoft Excel is a massive tool. One could easily spend 50-100 hours going through it’s capabilities. Excel isn’t just a basic computer skill, it’s so much more than that having capabilities in Data Viz, Power Query, Power Pivot and Pivot tables as well as Python Integration.

2 Months & 16 Courses later, I’ve completed the Risk Management Specialisation from CFI. This was specific to risks in the financial sector, mainly Banks, Asset Managers, and Securities Dealers. Quite relevant I’d say given the local landscape.
