Would not surprise me if @ASU_Baseball RHP Alex Overbay makes some weekend starts this year and goes well in the draft. Fastball sitting 95-96 up to 98 with run and ride. Low-80s slider has plenty of sweep. Also throws a high-80s cutter. Eight whiffs in two innings so far today.

Me gusta this Alex Overbay cat — what a weapon out of the @ASU_Baseball bullpen. The UNLV transfer has 5 K through 2 scoreless IP. Has used his 95-97 (98) fastball as the out pitch on 3 of those Ks, all vs. lefties. Slider at 83-86 & cutter at 88-91 are distinct, both legit.
