For all my friends that enjoy the great performances of my late and wonderful father-in-law @JamesBest aka Roscoe P Coltrane 📺💝 @hallmarkchannel @JaneenDamian
@ThanksCancer Best thing i got was a bed wedge.... after surgery i was on my back for 2 solid years... the wedge made it tolerable and much easier to get up from laying down.
@amberress@ThanksCancer@CancerisanASS@CCAlliance I had that happen too!!! Checked for blood clots but it was negative.. it might be fluid retention.. my left leg swelled 2x the size it should be... never found a cause. . Did lymphatic massage and it went away
Decided to go to @CancerCenter for my metastatic breast cancer. My small local oncology office just wasn't cutting it. I had treatment at @DanaFarber 8 years ago and it feels like I'm back there. Thank you @CancerCenter for the wonderful experience.
Remembering that time I slaved away and finished 12 more university classes while working full time. Finished with a 3.97 GPA,and then got a terminal illness instead of a job
@deb_maes61@ThanksCancer Yes. Its resilience and truth the kids need to learn about. Its real life. As they get older they will be appreciative of truth. Processing skills are learned early and helpful.
Chemo side effects are like the gift that keeps on giving. Why do my hands and feet hurt again 6 weeks after finishing chemo? WHO KNOWS. Certainly not me. @ThanksCancer
Just a reminder: cancer support groups are not an appropriate place for caregivers to discuss:
1. How annoying their partner with #cancer is
2. How they are the real victim for having to take care of a loved one.
3. How they are thinking about abandoning their sick family members
@coffinfox80@ThanksCancer I woke up from surgery with spacers... and had saline injections every 6 weeks to stretch the skin for implants. . Some ladies did not opt for reconstruction... a friend has prosthetics and loves the options. Conservative b for school pta.. d for daye night...
So dead honest question for the #cancer ladies, I'm look at reconstruction, so there is that, but if you had reconstruction, like I guess what I'm saying is how do I get over the mind fuck of waking up from surgery with nothing? I'm ready but I'm not. @ThanksCancer
From the ThanksCancer mailbag:
I ended chemo in late February and have had bad joint pain recently. Seemingly random. But now I wonder if it’s chemo-related. Do you have any advice on where to learn more?
What tips & tricks do people have for improving fatigue, memory loss, & brain fog from tamoxifen? My iq has probably dropped 40 points in the last week & I'm so sleepy. Caffeine isn't touching this. Getting out today to talk a passion helped for 1/2 the mtg. @ThanksCancer#bcsm
