Ten years ago today, my purpose on the field began when I was carted off of it. Adversity doesn't have to be an end. Make it your beginning.

Seeing this news brought me right back to the passing of my coach from college and how his death made me realize how much he taught me and countless others about life. I was as fortunate to have had Fred Hill as a coach as so many Seminoles were to have had Mike Martin. RIP, 11.

Today we mourn with the Martin family the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and baseball coach. Rest in Peace, 11

LIFE UPDATE: After 12 years with the @RedSox, two World Series titles, a bunch of Big Leaguers developed, and even more great moments with some incredible people to share them with, it’s time to write a new chapter…

Annual tweet of pictures of my father that probably explains a lot about me… and I wouldn’t have it any other way! To the man I learned nothing about when it comes to fashion, facial hair, and gym etiquette, Happy Father’s Day, Big Al!

Feels like yesterday he was yelling at me for being an idiot freshman. Feels like yesterday he was turning me into a coach. Feels like yesterday he was visiting me to watch spring training. Can’t believe he’s been gone four years now. Always trying to make you proud, Moose…

A legend was laid to rest today. Over the last week, I’ve shared laughs and tears with many who, like me, had been profoundly impacted by Fred Hill. The stories still amaze us how much he taught life thru the game. Allow me to share some of those stories with you. PLEASE READ:

At every @ABCA1945 convention, I make a point to find this photo in the Hall of Fame of the man who is the reason why I am a coach today. It’s my reminder of the very real impact that a coach can have on others’ lives beyond the field. Enjoy the details of that impact below👇

One year ago, I was on the coaching staff of THE strongest team I’ve ever been a part of. Our @USABaseball Olympic Team may not have been the most talented at #Tokyo2020, but I can’t imagine any other nation enjoying a tighter bond than the one we felt. linkedin.com/pulse/uncommon…
